Raiders looking at Crabtree?
The word around the web is that Michaels Crabtree’s stock continues to plummet the longer he is without a new team willing to give him a new home where he can hang his helmet.
Is there promise in his most recent team visit as he heads to the Oakland Raiders across the Bay.
The free agent and former San Francisco 49er wide-out is set to travel just a short distance to the Oakland Raiders on Monday April 6th according to numerous sources.
The prospects for Crabtree’s future are not overwhelmingly pouring in as he has apparently only visited the Miami Dolphins. There have been rumored accounts of interest coming from the Jaguars, Chargers and Redskins but nothing concrete or at least that can be verified publicly
The Raiders could use help at the wide out position so the visit makes sense from one perspective but what about the confidence of an NFL organization that he can deliver the kind of reliable and consistent impact his storied career has produced in years past. Injuries have begun to plague Crabtree and it may be a concern an NFL franchise cannot get past.
Especially for the money. Crabtree is seeking big bucks to the tune of $9 million per year. Is there a team willing to go out on a limb considering the fact that Crabtree has been hampered by a number of leg injuries? We will soon see and wish him the best.
