Scott Davis | California's Los Angeles Raiders | Oakland Raiders | University of Illinois | Business Career | Charitable Causes and Support
Scott Davis began his professional career with the LA Raider Organization in 1988. Prior to becoming a Los Angeles Raider Scott Davis was a Parade All-American as a senior at Plainfield High School where he lettered in 3 sports...football, basketball and track. Davis was presented with the opportunity to play basketball or football at a major University. Davis chose to play college football for the Fighting Illini as well as study architectural engineering. Davis attended the University of Illinois on a full scholarship and switched his major to business administration.
Scott Davis played with the now Oakland Raiders when the team was located in Southern California and known as the Los Angeles Raiders. Davis retired from the Raiders as a starter upon completion of his initial 4 year contract and pursued several business opportunities. Davis was convinced by the Raiders Organization to return to the team and eventually did so after two years off . Davis negotiated his own contract directly with Al Davis and subsequently signed his second 4-year contract with Raiders. Davis sustained a career ending injury in the first year of his second contract and returned to his business endeavors. Other than playing professional Football in the NFL Scott Davis is a lifelong entrepreneur and continues to pursue new business deals and philanthropic adventures.
