Martin O'Donnell and Carey Davis are the newest team members of the Illini Football radio network. The affiliate group has also grown with the addition of WRPW-FM 92.9 out of Bloomington-Normal
O'Donnell was an offensive guard and was a starter from 2004-07. in his last season as an Illini (2008) the team went to the Rose Bowl. O'Donnel was a 2007 First-Team All-American and team captain. He began his broadcasting during the 2015 spring game and will continue for all home and away games during this years regular season.
Davis played for a bit in the NFL playing with four teams. he will be seen in the sidelines as the Fighting Illini Radio Network sideline reporter. Carey Davis was a member of the 2001 Big Ten Championship Team and played in the Sugar Bowl. he too will cover games from the sidelines for all home and away Illini football games.
They will both be excellent additions to the broadcast team and we wish them the best of luck.
The Fighting Illini Radio Network also recently penned an agreement with WRPW-FM 92.9, for the 2015-16 football season. The FM station will broadcast all home and away Illini football games and weekend men's basketball games to fans in Bloomington and Normal, Ill.
